Grand Canyon: 6 of 6

The M&M lunch starting to wear off

John giving all the ladies a little eye candy on the trail
Does he look a little pale?
Quivering leg muscles

Starting to feel like we are getting there
Indian Gardens getting further and further away

The lone tree
Our welcoming committee was very friendly

Recovery for Rowland
Recovery for Margaret, John and I
What a great trip. Can't wait to do it again.

Labor Day Weekend- Idaho

We were not able to make it to Idaho Falls this summer for the 4th of July, so we figured we would go for the 2nd biggest event of the year... The Eastern Idaho State Fair! The best food and people watching west of the Mississippi! We had a great time spending time with cousins, constiently on the go, and enjoying the Idaho weather!! We love being closer to family again.

Lake Powell July 2011

Rob's parents took all of my family, yes that is right ALL as in 34 of us to Lake Powell. Well, minus Ali, a 22 month old at Lake Powell takes the whole vacation out of the trip. We had a great time!! The boys loved being with their cousins. Briggs loved jumping off the boat and the rocks. Owen loved the jet skis and riding in grandpa's "Go Fast". There was hiking, wake boarding, games at night, fireworks, great food, tubing, face painting, swimming in the "backyard," movies, boat rides, and lots and lots of great memories made!!

Things we love about Tucson

Living closer to Grandparents and...
aunts, uncles, and cousins
Going to Dad's work...It's a lot more fun to drive around a big-rig then to go into dad's office (right next to the kitchen).

School starts a month earlier
Amazing shopping!
Closer to Mexico
and Lake Powell

Two of our Favorite places in NYC

Central Park (we spent many Saturdays exploring the park). Natural History Museum aka Night at the Museum (if the weather was bad we could always count on this).

Our home for a year

The house was not ideal, but we made it our home for a year! We made great memories! We miss New Canaan, but glad we got to spend a year in the North East!!

More things we will miss around New Canaan

Saturday Morning Soccer

Having a cemetery in our driveway and having Briggs' bus stop right at our driveway. Walking up and down the huge hill to pick up Briggs.
Having ski resorts close.
Owen going skiing with Dad for the first time!!

A backyard and good friends!!

Great schools (and school toys)

Beaches so close (Briggs, Ali, and Owen sitting on the life guard stand @ Compo Beach)

Beardsley Zoo
Checking out the monkeys

Never can pass up a photo board

The YMCA, for playing or swimming (well, maybe that place won't be missed too much)

Marinetime Aquarium
Couple things we won't miss so much... The Traffic

Deer. I never realized how many problems these little things could case until we moved to Connecticut!
