Rob's Birthday!!

As you can see it was a huge event this year (sorry babe)!! One scoop of ice cream, a candle, in a kiddie bowl... What more could one man ask for!!

Cudins!!

Our cousins (Matt, Carrie, Anne, James, and Spencer) from Charlotte came to visit. We love that they live close (even though we don't get together enough). The boys loved playing with their cousins (once removed that is..or would that be second cousins). We can't wait to get together again!!

Catching Up

The boys made me chocolate chocolate muffins for my Birthday...It is sad when you get to the point when you have more candles than food!!

Such good helpers!!

MIA...excuses excuses

So, I started out with a good New Years resolution, to do a blog for the family. Then two weeks into it I kind of fell off the wagon. Well, as many of you know I do have a good excuse (at least I try and tell myself that). We are expecting baby #3!!! I am 11 weeks along and I have gone over 48 hours with no throwing up or dry heaving... I am hoping this is a good sign.
I just wanted to thank my sweet little boys for being so concerned while I was sick. At first by always asking me if I needed hugs when I would run to the sink or the bathroom. Then towards the end by cheering me on saying "good job mom" when I was done throwing up (hope that is not too much info). Also my sweet husband (yes, I called you sweet). For being so patient the last few weeks!! I love you boys!!

About the pictures...

Okay, I am still trying to figure things out here.... Here are some pictures from Christmas.
As you can see, Owen received his favorite gift first thing Christmas morning, when he looked in his stocking... For most kids an apple is considered, Santa's way of being too cheap and lazy to get enough real treats to put in their stocking. Not for our little 2 year old. Owen carried his apple around all morning. If we tried to take it out of his hands (to open a present) he would scream. Another favorite gift was the plasma bikes... I am afraid Owen is going to forget how to walk. from the moment he gets up in the morning until bedtime, if we are home, he is cruising around the house on that thing.
Briggs got two helicopters. A remote one (still trying to convince dad it is Briggs' and not his) then the other one is a tonka one with little guys he can play with). When people ask him what he got for Christmas he says, " a big helicopter I can play with and a little helicopter with a bad pilot."

Christmas and New Years...Better late than never

We stayed in South Carolina this year with no family. I was a little nervous it was going to be "just another day" since we were celebrating it "alone". However, we ended up making the best of it and really enjoyed our holiday season. Christmas Eve we went over to the Bright's house (some friends in our ward). We had dinner and our kids love there kids. Then Christmas we woke up opened presents and then had some of our neighbors over (the Reinsteins and the Soules) for breakfast. We have wonderful neighbors and they really are the closest thing we have to family here, so it was great to spend the day with them. Then we went to the Shropshire's (another family in our ward) for Sunday dinner. We had a great time there, but the boys were pretty exhausted from the day, they came home and crashed afterward.
