Put Me In Coach...I'm Ready To Play Today
It's Tough Being Two
About three months ago Owen started climbing out of his crib every morning and would come downstairs and say "Good morning mom, I climbed out of my bed all by myself," with a huge grin on his face. We decided it was time for him to sleep in a Big Boy Bed. However, Owen thought that since he now sleeps in a Big Boy Bed, he no longer needed to take naps. Mom didn't feel the same way, and was not ready to give up her few moments of peace and quiet she got in the afternoon. Besides, if his big brother is still happy taking naps shouldn't Owen be too? So now we spend around an hour a day, trying to get him to take a nap. I am now at the point where I lock both of his doors and put a gate on the outside. All this just to make sure the little monster cannot escape (Please do not turn me into Child Protective Services, it is a win win for both of us. He gets the rest he so badly needs and I have my sanity.)
Yesterday I heard him playing up in his room for lets just say quite a while. Finally, when I decided to go up there he had taken all of the clothes out of the hamper and spread them all over the floor. He then he took off his diaper, put on one of Briggs' t-shirt and pj short (twisted, inside out and backwards.) He fell asleep on the floor in his little sumo looking outfit and to top it off had an accident in his shorts. When I went to check on him I just busted up laughing and he started crying... I don't think that is the reaction he wanted from me.

We had a great Easter Weekend! Saturday we went to our Neighborhood Easter Party. That afternoon we colored eggs outside on the patio. Sunday morning the boys got up way too early, so Rob explained to them why we celebrate Easter, by using pictures. Then the boys searched for the eggs they had colored the day before that the Easter Bunny hid and checked out their baskets. We then headed off to church. That night Briggs was so exhausted from everything He fell asleep on the couch at 5:30.
Owen deciding if he was scared of the Easter Bunny or if he wanted to give him a hug... The hug won out in the end.
Owen favorite part was sticking his fingers in the dye and seeing if the vinegar really did taste that nasty every time

Spring Break 2009
We spent spring break at home this year, but tried to get out as much as the weather would allow. Monday night we went to the park with two other families and played tee ball. Since it was so cold and windy we only played for a little while and then headed to everybody's favorite place McDonald's for some ice cream. Wednesday we had some friends over to decorate sugar cookies. I am pretty sure Owen ate more frosting than he put on the cookies.
With the help of Grandma and Grandpa we have finished the boys room (one room down, the rest of the house to go!)

Conference Sunday...
Since Conference does not start here until noon, we thought we would take a nice long walk through our neighborhood (mainly to get the boys tired so they would take a nap during conf.) Unfortunately, that did not work, but we did enjoy a nice walk on a beautiful day!!
After Conference the boys had a little water balloon fun in the back yard Briggs loved the balloons, Owen was not a huge fan!!
